Rossio Gastrobar stands out for its unparalleled views over Rossio Square, São Jorge Castle, and the Tagus River. Located on the rooftop of the Altis Avenida Hotel, it is a space where gastronomy, cocktails, and atmosphere come together in one of Lisbon’s most iconic settings.
The surprising menu invites sharing and is led by Chef João Correia, the hotel’s executive chef, reflecting a creative and contemporary approach. This attention to detail extends beyond the dishes to the carefully selected handcrafted tableware and utensils, developed by Portuguese artisans and designers.
Designed by architects Cristina Santos e Silva and Ana Menezes Cardoso, the interior project takes full advantage of the prime city-center location, emphasizing the outdoor space with functional yet comfortable furniture, crafted to enjoy the view. Indoors, the transparency of the large glass panels lets the city take center stage, while period materials respect and celebrate the building’s history.
